New Almaty Oblast Governor appointed

President Nursultan Nazarbayev has introduced the new Akim (Governor) of Almaty Oblast during his official visit, Tengrinews reports citing Akorda Twitter account.

Amandyk Batalov was appointed as the new Akim of Almaty Oblast. He replaced Ansar Musakhanov in the position.

Batalov was approved by the Oblast Maslikhat (local representative authority). Batalov had worked as Vice Akim of Almaty Oblast since 2008.
