Nazarbayev makes new appointments

President Nursultan Nazarbayev has made several new appointments, Tengrinews reports citing the press-office of Akorda. Magzhan Ilyassov has been assigned Advisor to the President and replaced Yerzhan Ashikbayev as Head of the Presidential Administration's Foreign Policy Center. In May 2013, as a recipient of the Bolashak Education Scholarship he got the Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. After the graduation he worked as an Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan. Since 1999, Ilyassov worked at the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan as a Consultant of the Presidential Protocol, Chief Expert of the President's Office, and Chief Inspector of the Foreign Policy Center. The former Head of the Foreign Policy Center Yerzhan Ashikbayev was appointed Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. He used to work at the Kazakhstan Embassy in Belgium, lead the Prime-Minister's Office, serve as Kazakhstan's Ambassador-at-Large and chair the International Information Committee in the Foreign Ministry.
