Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram to the leader of the Conservatives Party David Cameron congratulating him on the win of his party in the UK parliamentary elections, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the Kazakh President.
The United Kingdom 2015 general election was held on May 7, 2015. There were a lot of speculations about the results of the elections leading to another hung parliament.
The incumbent Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron, who governed since 2010 in a coalition with the Liberal Democrats, was elected for the second term by 36.9% of the vote and with 331 seats, thus forming the first Conservative majority government since 1992. Since the Conservatives Party won the absolute majority of seats in the UK parliament, the party is now able to govern without the need for a coalition or formal agreement with other parties.
In a telegram, the Kazakh leader conveyed the congratulations on his own behalf and on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan. “This win demonstrates that the British people clearly support your policies. I am convinced that as Prime Minister you will contribute to the prosperity of your country and further development of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom,” Nazarbayev wrote in the telegram.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also wished good health, vigorous energy, success in the responsible post to Prime-Minister Cameron and well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of the United Kingdom.
