Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated Kazakhstan residents on Nauryz holiday, KazTAG reports. "I congratulate all Kazakhstan residents on this wonderful holiday. All old offenses are usually forgiven this day. Families and friends meet and ask forgiveness from each other, wear their best clothes, go out, plant trees, clean up springs and streets," Nazarbayev said on Kazak Eli square in Astana on Thursday. The President stressed that during the independence years Nauryz holiday has become a symbol of unity of the people of Kazakhstan. "During the independence years the country made this holiday a symbol of unity and friendship of all people and ethnic groups living in our country in our common house of Kazakhstan," President said. Public celebrations started on Macrh 21 in Astana. The celebrations continued on March 22 next to the city administration building, in the Lovers' Park and in other parks of the capital. The main events are held next to Kazakh Eli monument. 400 performers took part in the show here. The holiday will finish with a concert on the square.
