Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived to Kyrgyzstan today for the first time in the 20-year-old history of Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan relations, Tengrinews.kz reports from Bishkek. He arrived on an invitation of President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev. Nursultan Nazarbayev is accompanied by Minister of Industry and News Technologies Asset Issekeshev, Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov, Minister of Transport and Communication Askar Zhumagaliyev and other member of the Kazakh government. The visit includes negotiation of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in narrow and extended formats and a meeting of the Supreme Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan Interstate Council to discuss perspective directions of the country's cooperation. Nursultan Nazarbayev is planing to meet with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, participate in the meeting of the Supreme Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan Interstate Council and sign a range of bilateral documents. The state visit is time of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It is expected that an anniversary declaration and a package of bilateral documents will be signed at the end of the negotiations. "A whole range of bilateral Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan relations will be discussed during the visit: political, trade-and-economic and cultural-and-humanitarian issues of multilateral cooperation,” Kyrgyzstan Presidential Administration said. The visit is expected to put a start to Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Investment Fund. Water energy cooperation and fuel supplies to Kyrgyzstan will also be discussed. The situation in Central Asia, Afghanistan development scenarios, integration processes in the Customs Union and Common Economic Space will also be discussed. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will participate in the second Council of Leaders of Turkic Speaking States tomorrow, on August 23. The participants of the summit will include representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. President of Turkey Abdullah Gul is expected to attend. The summit is expected to culminate in a declaration of cooperation of Turkic speaking countries.
