Kazakhstan Statistics Agency is expecting that the country's GDP growth rate will continue increasing this year, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the chairman of Kazakhstan Statistics Agency Alikhan Smailov. “As for the social-economic situation, the growth of the short-term economic indicator in January-February made 2.9 percent. Looking at the main indicator, GDP, we can see the GDP grew 4 percent compared to January; and it made 4.3 percent in January-February. And we expect that this indicator will keep growing until the end of the year thanks to the increasing growth in industry, agriculture and construction,” Smailov said on Thursday.
