Majilis chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin has had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to Kazakhstan Mikko Kinnunen, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Majilis press-service. The meeting covered inter-parliament cooperation between the two countries. “Kazakhstan parliamentarians are interested in the experience of the Finnish colleagues’ on drafting laws, especially those on innovative development, improvement of education system, sustainable and ecologically-friendly approach to the economy, countering corruption and general modernization of the state and the civil society,” the press-service cites Nigmatulin as saying. The speakers stressed that the development trend of the bilateral interaction certifies that the relations between Kazakhstan and Finland are growing to a new quality level of strategic partnership. A group on cooperation with Finland was formed up in Kazakhstan Parliament to enhance and develop the partnership relations between higher legislative bodies of the two countries.
