Kazakhstan government is looking for ways to reduce the gap between rich and poor, Tengrinews.kz reports from the expanded meeting of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. "We are experiencing an economic growth. Mining and oil sectors are fueling the economic growth and it is important to have the wealth generated in the country to be distributed among all Kazakhstan citizens, so that every Kazakhstan citizen feels part of this economic growth and sees his or her wealth increase. We should have such a big gap between rich and poor. It is not as big as, for example, in America. But we have that trend here and the gap is big: a small group of very rich people, a small group of poor people and a very weak middle class," Vice-PM Yerbol Orynbayev said. The anti-crisis program, a Road Map that the President instructed the Government to development should help reduce the gap. According to the Vice-PM, it will help form up a dynamic and strong middle class. "An important guideline is that the President instructed to develop an anti-crisis program, a road map. We are now thinking in the government that it should be based on the employment program," Orynbayev noted. By Renat Tashkinbayev
