Kazakhstan faces many problems and chalenges: former U.S. Secretary of State

The conference called Kazakhstan-USA: 20 Years of Partnership for Security and Development is held at Nazarbayev Center in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Former administration of the United States sent letters and video addresses to Kazakhstan citizen in relation to this event.
In particular, the message of the former U.S. Secretary of State (1989-1992) James Baker states: “Kazakhstan is facing many problems and challenges on the way of its development, in particular, when the U.S. withdraw their troops from Afghanistan. But stable Kazakhstan-American relations keep playing an important role in protection of interests of both countries,” Baker said in his video address.
Specifying the achievements of Kazakhstan in the last 20 years, former Secretary of State did not forget to mention that some of them “happened thanks to economic and political support from the U.S.”. In particular, he meant the American support of Kazakhstan’s banking system.
