Kazakhstan Central Election Commission has registered another 145 observers, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The Central Election Commission has accredited 145 more representatives of four international organizations and 15 foreign countries. So, at present 244 international observers have been accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 74 of them are the OSCE/ODIHR (Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights) representatives, 102 – the CIS observers, 9 – the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's observers, 9 – the Commonwealth of Turkic States observers and 50 are representatives of 19 foreign countries,” the Central Election Commission officials said at the meeting on December 27. The Central Election Commission also adopted a resolution on Termination of power of Senator Baurzhan Mukhametzhanov due to the fact that he was appointed new Akim (Governor) of Mangistau oblast.
