The agreements, signed at intergovernmental, interagency, and interregional levels, aim to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, including energy, transport, and trade.
Among the major documents are:
- A comprehensive program for strengthening friendship and deepening strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan for 2025-2027.
- An agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments.
- A strategic cooperation agreement in the areas of transport, logistics, and transit.
- A cooperation agreement on combating crime.
- A tourism cooperation agreement between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Turkmenistan's Ministry of Culture.
- A strategic cooperation agreement for the development of the gas sector between QazaqGaz and Turkmengaz.
- A cooperation agreement on oilfield services in the Caspian Sea between KazMunayGas and Turkmennebit.
Other memorandums and agreements were signed, covering areas such as digital development, sports, plant quarantine, and postal services.
President Tokayev's visit also included the inauguration of a monument to Kazakh poet Abai in Ashgabat and receiving a jubilee medal in honor of the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
The visit concluded with bilateral talks between Tokayev and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, covering a wide range of topics aimed at further enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
