Kazakhstan and Macedonia may establish a joint production of medicines. Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev and President of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov discussed mutually beneficial investment opportunities, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the public relations department of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. According to the department, Umirzak Shukeyev informed Macedonian President that the Fund is interested in cooperation is such sectors as pharmaceutics and telecommunications. “Besides, the parties reached preliminary agreements on production of medicines and supplies of medical equipment,” the message states. President of Macedonia also noted the dynamic development of Kazakhstan economy and expressed hope for a successful cooperation in trade and economic, pharmaceutical and IT sectors. He also invited Kazakhstan entrepreneurs to visit Macedonia to discuss details of further partnership. Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki told about the investment capacities of his country. According to him, production of car components, communication technologies, textile industry and food production may become the promising cooperation sectors. Chairman of Kazyna Capital Management Borisbiy Zhangurazov suggested to consider the possibility of creation of a joint Kazakhstan-Macedonian investment fund.
