“The Independence Day is celebrated all over the world as one of the major national holidays that signifies establishment of statehood. Today, Kazakhstan is celebrating the 22nd anniversary of its Independence. The United States were the first country to recognize independent Kazakhstan, and our cooperation grows stronger every day. The United States were, are and will always remain a faithful friend and reliable partner to Kazakhstan. John M. Ordway served as the United States Ambassador to Kazakhstan from August 30, 2004 to October 7, 2008.
Kazakhstan celebrated its Independence Day on December 16.
