Kazakhstan Secretary of State Marat Tazhin has received U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Kazakhstan John M. Ordway, Tengrinews reports referring to the President’s press office.
Mr. Odrway discussed the current state and the development prospects of the Kazakhstan-American relations that encompass a wide range of issues: strategic partnership, investments, trade and economic partnership, cultural exchange and educational development.
The United States have invested $24 billion in Kazakhstan since 1993. There are over 300 joint Kazakh-American enterprises working in the key sectors of the economy.
Mr. Ordway was the Ambassador of the United States in Kazakhstan in 2004-2008. In 2011 he worked as the Charge d'Affaires of the U.S. in Kazakhstan. This year he has returned to Kazakhstan to resume his service as the Charge d'Affaires.
