Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has set out priority tasks for Kazakhstan’s government, emphasizing the urgent need to bring inflation under control and ensure steady growth in both the economy and citizens’ real incomes.
Speaking at the awards ceremony for the “Altyn Sapa” and “Paryz” prizes, as well as the national “Best Goods of Kazakhstan” competition, Tokayev said these issues remain central to the country’s economic agenda.
According to the President, a Joint Action Program involving the Government, the National Bank, and the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market has recently been approved for 2026–2028. The document is intended to coordinate efforts across all institutions.
Tokayev stressed that the program can only succeed if all relevant state bodies — including regional administrations — work in sync. Predictability and fairness in tax, tariff and regulatory policies, he noted, remain decisive factors for businesses.
He also highlighted that the new Tax Code is designed to “reset” the state’s relationship with the private sector.
“Stable business development relies on mutual commitments: the state must create a favorable business climate, while entrepreneurs must pay taxes honestly. This is how it works in all developed, civilized countries,” Tokayev said.
