Tengrinews.kz – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that he had a productive exchange of views with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to Modi, the two countries maintain close cooperation across multiple sectors.

A photo from the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Xinjiang showed Tokayev with Modi and Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon.

“Had a productive exchange of views with President Tokayev of Kazakhstan. Our nations are cooperating closely in many key sectors, including energy, security, healthcare and pharmaceuticals,” Modi posted.

Earlier, Tokayev addressed the SCO Heads of State Council, outlining Kazakhstan’s priorities for cooperation within the organization.

On September 2, he is scheduled to attend the Kazakhstan–China Business Council meeting in Beijing and hold talks with top Chinese companies.

The next day, September 3, Tokayev will participate as a guest of honor in ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
