Foreign investors have called Kazakhstan to simplify its visa procedures, Tengrinews.kz reports from the round-table meeting on protection of the investors’ rights held in Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry.
“Many speakers told about problems in obtaining visas, which I believe is a huge complication and a sign of bureaucracy. That’s why, if possible, we have to ask Kazakhstan government to create more transparent and clear visa procedures,” ambassador of Lebanon to Kazakhstan Vazken Kavlakyan said.
Besides, the diplomat asked the Kazakhstan government and ministries to notify foreign investors of all the changes and amendments made to the country's legislative acts related to investments.
Kazakhstan Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov answered: “As the government we try to be transparent and regularly inform our foreign partners of the government’s actions. There are major information campaigns in the media, we have a special institute Kaznex and other outlets that provide this information.”
