Euronews launched broadcasting in Kazakh
Tengrinews.kz — President Tokayev received Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, citing Akorda.
The meeting focused on prospects for expanding cooperation with one of the world's leading television networks. The President of Kazakhstan noted that Euronews holds a unique position among global media corporations due to its reputation for impartial reporting and providing reliable information to a broad audience.
He also emphasized that since the opening of its regional office in Astana in 2024, Euronews has become more active in covering the political, economic, and cultural life of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the launch of Euronews broadcasting in the Kazakh language, calling it a clear testament to mutually beneficial cooperation. According to Pedro Vargas David, Kazakh will become the first Central Asian language in the media network's lineup. The head of Euronews congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on the adoption of the new Constitution, noting that the principles and values enshrined in the Basic Law demonstrate the leadership's commitment to building a stronger and more progressive state," the Akorda press service reports.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the results of the President of Kazakhstan's recent official visit to Brussels.
