The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan has announced first turnout results, Tengrinews.kz reports. By 10 a.m, about 1.5 million ballots were fill out that the voters, the CEC said. “As of 10 a.m. January 15 1.473 million people – 15.8 percent of the voters received the ballots,” vice-chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan Vladimir Foos announced. 4.2 percent of local voters voted in Astana, 2.1 percent in Almaty, 16.3 percent in Akmola oblast,13.9 in Aktobe oblast. Aturau oblast boasts the highest voter turnout in the country: 37 percent. Almaty oblast is second by voter turnout: 32.3 percent. 27.8 percent voted in Kostanai oblast and 24.7 percent voted in Eastern Kazakhstan oblast before 10 a.m.. 14.6 percent voted in Zhambyl oblast, 6.9 percent voted in Western-Kazakhstan oblast, 12.4 percent in Kraganda oblast. Kyzylorda oblast tourout made 23.8 percent, in Pavlodar oblast – 13.9 percent, in North Kazakhstan oblast – 25.3 percent and in South Kazakhstan oblast – 4.9 percent.
