Belarus Prime-Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich believes it necessary to activate cooperation with Kazakhstan in mechanic engineering, Tengrinews.kz reports from Minsk. "We accept your critics about our insufficient activeness at the Kazakhstan market and, first of all, this is true for our engineering and car-building sector. Indeed, we have been talking for several years about producing certain models of BelAZ. But the production has not started yet. Our companies are beating around the bushes," Myasnikovich said during the talks with Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov. The Belarus PM noted that this issue was raised several times, in particular with his ministers who had to work in this direction. "I can see now that this is not enough. If we want to fully use the capacities of Kazakhstan market, we have to work in a different way. We have to work via joint companies with serious localization in the market and not just with some primitive repair shops," he said. Besides, Myasnikovich stated that Belarus President Aleksander Lukashenko was planning to visit Kazakhstan in autumn to discuss further cooperation. By Maksim Popov
