Astana Mayor appointed Chairman of EXPO-2017 National Company instead of Talgat Yermegiayev 12 июня 2015, 16:50

Talgat Yermegiayev has been relieved of his position as Chairman of the Board of Astana EXPO-2017 National Company in Kazakhstan.

Talgat Yermegiayev has been relieved of his position as Chairman of the Board of Astana EXPO-2017 National Company, Tengrinews reports.

Yermegiayev chaired the company managing Kazakhstan's preparations for the EXPO 2017 to be held in Astana since 2013.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed the Akim (Mayor) of Astana Adilbek Zhaksybekov as the new Chairman of the Board of Astana EXPO-2017 National Company.

Following the new appointment, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov introduced the new Chairman to the staff of the Astana EXPO-2017 company.

Zhaksybekov was appointed the Akim of Astana on October 22, 2014. Prior to that he worked as the Secretary of the State. From 2009 to 2014, Zhaksybekov was the Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan.
