The Anti-corruption Agency of Kazakhstan is considering a partnership with international experts, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Agency for Civil Service and Anti-corruption.

"In Kazakhstan, we begin a new stage of development of the public service, due to challenges facing the country committed to the course of dynamic build up of competitiveness. As evidenced by international experience, the greatest effect of reforms is achieved when they are carried out on the basis of scientific and applied analysis and interaction with the academic environment. That is why the Agency is considering a partnership with international experts as an important factor for improvement of its work," the head of the Agency Kairat Kozhamzharov said.

As part of such efforts, the Agency participated in the training sessions at the Higher School of Public Policy of the Nazarbayev University. Classes were held by professors of the university via a video link with the professors of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of Singapore National University and the Law School of the University of Cornell.

During the training courses

The training program comprised of topics relating to civil service reform, including the experience and recommendations of advanced countries, performance evaluation of civil servants, accountability of public service, and anti-corruption legislation.

The training was one of the first steps of the bilateral cooperation between the Agency and the Higher School of Public Policy.
