Kazakhstan’s national flag carrier Air Astana has launched a direct flight between Kazakhstan’s capital city Astana and Thailand’s capital Bangkok, Tengrinews reports.
Starting from December 15, 2014, flights are performed twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays by the company's new Boeing-767 aircraft. Astana-Bangkok flight lasts 8 hours 20 minutes, while the duration of Bangkok-Astana flight is 6 hours 55 minutes.
The new route supplements the existing Almaty-Bangkok flight that was launched in 2003 and has since serviced more then 430,000 passengers.
“Given the growing flow of passengers between Kazakhstan and Thailand, we are delighted to link the capital cities of these two countries. Passengers flying on this route will be able to fully enjoy the airline's Skytrax award-winning service and comfort on board of our new Boeing 767-300ER aircraft,” President of Air Astana Peter Foster said.
The fares start at 112,500 tenge ($619.15) including taxes and surcharges.
