Nazarbayev on reciprocal sanctions of Europe and Russia24 november 2014, 22:15
Reciprocal sanctions of Europe and Russia are of no benefit to either side, a Tengrinews.kz journalist reports, citing President Nazarbayev as saying.
When answering questions of journalists, Nazarbayev outlined the core of his talks with Czech President Milos Zeman.”We dwelt not only on terrorism in the Middle East, but also Ukraine, reciprocal sanctions of Europe and Russia (…) economy should not be directly linked to politics. Such sanctions should be introduced by the UN rather than by an individual state or a group of states. Hardly had we overcome the crisis of 2007-2009, when we faced a new one”, President Nazarbayev said.
“Mr. Zeman and me both want the opposition to stop and be replaced with cooperation. I strongly believe that Eurasia should be a single market for the benefit of the people living in the territory. We will be taking all possible effort to facilitate peace”, he said.
“When it comes to foreign policy, we fully share the same viewpoints”, President Milos Zeman said.
