The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia has held a press-briefing on the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan on 17 March, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in the Russian Federation.

Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia Yerlan Baizhanov briefed the journalists on media accreditation procedures, explained several clauses of the election law of Kazakhstan and organizational aspects of the electoral campaign and election observation.

"Elections in Kazakhstan has always stirred a lot of interest among the international community. We look forward to active participation of international observers. The invitations have been sent out to international organizations, in particular the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization that is headquartered in Russia.
