27 election observers from Kazakhstan will go to Ukraine to monitor parliamentary elections, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Central Election Commission. “27 Kazakhstan citizens, members of different missions, will take part in the observations of the Ukrainian parliamentary elections. We have approached forming of Kazakhstan's observation mission very seriously to ensure objective observations in line with the country’s legislation,” the press-service cites chairman of the Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov. Turgankulov also met with Ukrainian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan Oleg Dyomin. The diplomat thanked Kazakhstan party for the intention to take part in the observations over the coming elections and stressed that cooperation between central election authorities of Kazakhstan and Ukraine has a constructive and mutually beneficial nature. At the meeting Dyomin told about the course of the election campaign before the Ukrainian parliamentary elections to be held on October 28, 2012. “The elections will be held in line with the Ukrainian law On elections of the people’s deputies of Ukraine dated November 17, 2011. This law was developed and adopted with active participation of opposition political parties of Ukraine and all parliamentary fractions. 21 political parties are taking part in elections. Several international missions are working on observation of the elections and they have already submitted their first reports,” Dyomin noted.
