The 11th Eurasian Media Forum will be held in Astana later this week, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan President’s Central Communications Service Altai Abibullayev. “The 11th Eurasian Media Forum will be held in Astana on April 25-26. The Forum was created to promote professional development of Eurasian mass media and informing the global community about special features of development of the Eurasian region and transformations of the Eurasian space,” Abibullayev said at the briefing. According to him, the Forum will be held in the Media Center's headquarters. The coming event is expected to cover current global and regional issues, security issues in Central Asia after withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, as well as the situation in the Middle East, prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union, information security and media trends in the 21st century. “The discussion will also cover real prospects of green economy in Kazakhstan. The Forum will be participated by outstanding international politicians, economists, journalists, public and political leaders, as well as representatives of media, political and expert organizations from over 60 countries,” Abibullayev added.
