Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yessimov called business community to facilitate employment of students, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Education is good, but we also need to help young people find jobs. That’s why I am calling our business community for a real participation in social partnership. Employ at least one or two graduates and you will make a valuable contribution into their life,” he said during the meeting with the citizens where he reported on the results of the year 2011. He noted that the entrepreneurs could also employ students part-time. Apart from the money, this will allow them use their knowledge in practice. “I instruct to work out a way to step up employment of graduates of universities and colleges to schools, hospitals, community organizations and state institutions. I think that this will be supported by Samruk-Kazyna system, banks and other organizations of Almaty. Educational department has to control this issue,” he said. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that small and medium businesses are developing in Almaty . The number of active members of this realm has grown 13 percent and employment increased by 0.7 percent, while production of goods, works and service went 1.1 percent up. Small and medium entrepreneurship provides jobs for every third employable citizen and give around 60 percent of tax incomes to the budget.
