Tengrinews.kz - The Bureau of Statistics has revealed which regions of Kazakhstan have the most sanatoriums and resorts.

Tengrinews.kz - The Bureau of Statistics has revealed which regions of Kazakhstan have the most sanatoriums and resorts.

As of January 2025, there are a total of 333 sanatoriums and resorts operating in the country, with 158 located in rural areas and 175 in cities.

The Turkestan region leads by a significant margin, boasting 117 sanatorium and resort facilities. In second place is the Almaty region, with 22 sanatoriums and resorts. The Akmola region and Shymkent share third place, each hosting 20 such facilities.

Kazakhstan has 8 large sanatoriums and resorts, 38 medium-sized, and 287 small establishments.
