A local surgeon in Kostanay Oblast village Vladimir Kukhar saved a boy’s life with an angle grinder, Tengrinews reports citing Kostanay News.
In the beginning of May, Kabdolla Zhanburshinov ran to the doctor’s house saying that his 8 y.o. son Adilbek needed urgent help. When the doctor got to the incident sight, he saw a grotesque picture of the boy skewered on a reinforcement bar that entered through his neck and was protruding near his ear. Apparently, Adilbek was playing around the construction site, and when he jumped he landed exactly on the reinforcement bar.
The surgeon cut the bar with an angle cutter and then took the boy to the hospital where he conducted an emergency surgery to remove the remaining part of the bar from his head.
The boy was discharged from the hospital not long ago. “It is a miracle, after such a serious trauma the boy only has two small marks from ointment and faint stiches. Thanks to the local surgeons,” the newspaper wrote.
According to Dr. Kukhar, Adilbek endured the bar cutting process and the buzz of the angle cutter like a real man. After the boy woke up after the surgery and was asked how he was feeling and he smiled and answered with thumbs up.
