Real Madrid president Florentino Perez received the key to Panama City from its mayor on Monday, in honor of the billionaire's achievements in business and sport, AFP reports.
"It is an honor for me to accept this, as well as a responsibility," the head of the iconic Spanish football club said, after Mayor Jose Isabel Blandon bestowed the key.
Perez did not rule out the possibility of a match between Real Madrid and the Panamanian national side, in Panama.
"It is a matter of finding the dates because between world cups and European cups after national championships, there are no dates left. But it's just a matter of finding them," he said.
The Real chief was in Panama to expend a cooperation deal it has with the office of Panama's first lady. Since 2006 it has been special partner to a sports and social school.
