The top five cities of Kazakhstan also include Petropavlovsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar and Uralsk. The cities with almost equal number of men and women are Shalkar (75th) and Aralsk (76th). Shalkar has 26 more women than men, while Aralsk has 27 more men. Only 8 of 84 Kazakhstan’s towns included in the rating have more men than women. The “manly” towns include Usharal, Saryagash, Zhetyssai, Fort-Shevchenko, Arys, Temir and Shardara. The least number of women is registered in Kazalinsk (Kyzylorda oblast): 48 percent.
