Almost 14 percent of Kazakhstan residents don’t get vacation pay

13.8 percent of Kazakhstan residents don’t get a vacation pay, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to data from Mojazarplata.kz website. The wageindicator international fund conducted an online poll in the CIS countries. Almost two thousand people took part. The main question was: “What did you buy on your vacation money?” 34 percent of respondents answered: “Nothing.” 21.2 percent told that they spent the money for an in-country vacation. More than 13 percent managed to buy tourist vouchers and travelled abroad. 7.2 percent of respondents spent their holiday at recreation centers and health resorts in Kazakhstan. 6.6 percent preferred to rest at their summer cottages. More than 3 percent spent their vacation money on car maintenance, utility service, debt payments and food.
