Tengrinews.kz - Residents of Almaty will be able to fly to another city in India.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport, direct flights from Almaty to Mumbai will be available starting April 20, 2025.
Flights will operate three times a week—on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The flights will be operated on Airbus family aircraft. The departure from Almaty is scheduled for 04:30 AM, with arrival in Mumbai at 09:55 local time. Return flights will depart from Mumbai at 11:00 AM and arrive in Almaty at 14:45. The flight time will be about 4 hours and 50 minutes from Almaty and 4 hours and 20 minutes on the return journey.
With the new flight, the total number of passenger flights between Kazakhstan and India will increase to 21 per week on four routes. Currently, flights are available from Almaty to Delhi (7 times a week by Air Astana and IndiGo) and Goa (2 flights by SCAT), while flights from Astana to Goa (2 flights by Fly Arystan) are also available.
The new Almaty – Mumbai flights will be operated by Air Astana. According to the airline's press service, ticket prices for the Almaty – Mumbai round-trip flights start from 210,201 tenge in economy class and from 588,202 tenge in business class.
However, it's important to note that there is no visa-free regime between Kazakhstan and India. Therefore, passengers must obtain visas in advance to enter the country.
