In the comments, many users asked to find out who the choreographer was and learn more about him.

“He’s a wonderful teacher,” “I’d love to send my daughter to a dancer like him, someone who won’t scold them,” “You can see he dances with his soul,” – users wrote.

The author of the video turned out to be Aidanа Nurkenova, the organizer of the children’s competition "Oner Zhuldyzy" (“Star of Art”). The event was held on March 30 at the Zhasstar Palace in Astana.

“The school Bolashaq from Qoyandy, Akmola region, took part in the competition in the 'Choreography' category. Their teacher is Yersin Zhussipov. He’s just over 70 years old. His students won first place in their category. He is very modest, and it’s clear that he lives and breathes teaching and dance,” Nurkenova said.

The Tengrinews team also contacted the school’s director, Maqsat Zhuldyz, who shared more about Yersin Zhussipov.

“He’s been working with us for about a year. Yersin Zhussipov is very dedicated. He’s 70 and has worked as a choreographer for nearly 50 years. He loves his job and the children. He teaches classes almost every day, keeping track of attendance and making sure the kids show up. I handle the administrative side, and he leads choreography,” she explained.

According to her, the 70-year-old choreographer is happily married and has raised a son and daughter.

“He now has grandchildren growing up. He can’t live without dance and teaching, so he continues to work actively,” she added.
