Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan’s national team has won five gold medals at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) for the first time in history. Kazakhstani school students achieved the historic result at the 56th Olympiad, which was held from July 4 to 12 in Bucaramanga, Colombia, citing the Ministry of Education.

This year, 381 school students from 85 countries took part in one of the world’s most prestigious intellectual competitions. Participants had to solve complex theoretical and experimental problems requiring deep knowledge, analytical thinking and practical training.

All five representatives of Kazakhstan won gold medals — a result the national team had never achieved before.
