Flight operations are complicated by extreme runway parameters: it is only 20 meters wide and 527 meters long. Furthermore, the runway features a steep 12-percent incline, which helps aircraft decelerate more quickly during landing to ensure they stop before the pavement ends.

Pilot certification requirements
