Nurlan Saburov’s performance in China has been canceled

Tengrinews.kz — According to Russian media reports, Nurlan Saburov had performances scheduled in China in early April — in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai. The concert in Shanghai has been canceled, and the shows in the other cities are also under threat, according to the Telegram channel Shot.

According to the outlet, the comedian’s performance scheduled for April 4 in Shanghai was canceled for “reasons beyond the organizers’ control.”

Saburov still has two more concerts planned in China: on April 2 in Guangzhou and on April 3 in Beijing. They are also at risk of being canceled. Ticket sales for the latter performance have still not opened, even though it is supposed to take place in just two days.

According to Shot, ticket prices for the comedian’s stand-up shows range from 30,000 to 120,000 tenge.

Popular Kazakh comedian Nurlan Saburov was banned from entering Russia for 50 years on January 30. In mid-February, it became known that Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee had begun investigative measures in relation to Saburov.
