Tengriews.kz - A new resort city will be constructed in the Mangystau region as part of efforts to develop the area's tourism potentialt.

The tourist city will be located in the resort zone of Kenderli and is expected to accommodate up to 300,000 visitors annually. Construction of the engineering infrastructure has already begun.

"The Kenderli seaside boasts a long swimming season, and its geographical location is advantageous for attracting tourists due to its uniqueness. In this regard, the President has given specific instructions to establish the Kenderli tourist zone. We plan to build a dedicated tourist town with the necessary infrastructure. This will help alleviate the primary burden on the city of Zhanaozen," said Meken Uisenov, the akim of Kenderli village.

Plan for the development of the "Kenderli" resort on the Caspian Sea was presented in 2014, aiming to attract tourists by 2020. At that time, they planned to offer a "black caviar SPA" experience for true gourmets. Additionally, tourists were invited to participate in a major regatta called "Host of the Caspian," enjoy summer leisure under the "Amazing Kenderli" dome, relish in the pleasures of aromatic gardens, and celebrate honeymoons. Other activities included seal dancing, golf, hot air balloon rides, and dining on the water.

Previously, Kazakhstan has welcomed over half a million tourists in just two weeks.
