Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstanis have started receiving SMS warnings about the possible loss of their status in the mandatory social health insurance (OSMS) system.

The Mandatory Social Health Insurance Fund announced that the SMS messages are being sent from the short number 1414. This is a joint initiative by the Fund and the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.

"The first SMS notifications began in September and are addressed to individuals who may lose their insured status in October 2025. This group includes citizens whose last payment for OSMS was made in June. Since no payments were made in July, August, and September, they risk losing their status in October," the Fund explained.

Kazakhstanis who have stopped making contributions retain access to medical services within the OSMS system for three months. During this period, they are considered conditionally insured but are still obligated to pay the missed contributions.

Information about the current insurance status can be accessed on the Fund's website msqory.kz, through the Qoldau 24/7 mobile app, SaqtandyryBot on Telegram, or in the mobile apps eGov Mobile, Damumed, or your bank’s app.
