Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan and Pakistan are discussing the possibility of introducing direct passenger flights, Akorda said.

According to the statement, the two sides agreed to explore options for resuming direct air connectivity.

“An agreement has been reached to study the prospects of resuming direct air services between our countries, which is of key importance for the development of business ties and tourism,” the statement said.

Earlier, at the end of January, Kazakhstan’s Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev said the country plans to resume and open new international routes in 2026, while also increasing flight frequencies on existing routes. He mentioned destinations such as Vienna, Tokyo, Rome, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dammam, Larnaca, Amman, Shanghai, Kashgar, Warsaw and others.
