Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent a telegram of condolences to King Felipe VI of Spain, according to Akorda.
President Tokayev extended his condolences to Spain's King Felipe VI following the tragic loss of life caused by a natural disaster in the country.
"During this difficult time, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and personally, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and to the families of the victims. I wish a swift recovery to those affected," Tokayev wrote in the message.
A powerful storm, "DANA," recently struck Spain, causing devastating floods from heavy rainfall. Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed there were no Kazakh citizens among the casualties or injured.
Spain’s government has declared a three-day mourning period from October 31 to November 2 to honor those who lost their lives in the floods.
