Tengrinews.kz — A mobile unit of the Altai Customs Service intercepted 714 kilograms of Ukrainian-made chocolate being transported from Kazakhstan into Russia, reports Ostorozhno Media.

According to officials, customs officers stopped a truck heading from Kazakhstan to Russia. Inside the vehicle were 372 cardboard boxes of chocolate bars produced by a Ukrainian confectionery factory.

“Such products are under sanctions and are prohibited from being imported into the Russian Federation,” the report said.

The truck and goods were returned to the sender, and an administrative investigation has been launched under Article 16.3 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (“Violation of bans and restrictions”).
