Tengrinews.kz – A psychological support hotline has been launched in Almaty following the earthquake that shook the city.
According to officials, “a hotline with the participation of Emergency Situations Department psychologists has been opened in connection with the recorded earthquake in Almaty.”
Specialists are now receiving calls from residents experiencing stress or anxiety after the tremors.

Earlier, Almaty residents felt the quake as walls and chandeliers trembled slightly inside apartments. Many people began messaging each other and, especially in high-rise buildings, stepped outside as a precaution.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the network of seismic stations registered the earthquake on 4 December at 12:44. The epicenter was located 277 kilometers southeast of Almaty, on the territory of China. The magnitude reached 6.7.
In Almaty, the tremors were felt at an intensity of 3 points.
