Tengrinews.kz - Almaty police have reminded moped owners about the requirement to register their vehicles, according to Polisia.kz.
All mopeds must be registered by April 5, 2025. As of today, around 3,700 mopeds have been registered in Kazakhstan, with approximately 1,400 of them in Almaty. In the Pavlodar region, 77 mopeds have been registered.
To complete the registration, moped owners must visit a special Public Service Center in their area, submit the necessary documents, undergo a technical inspection, and pay the required state fees for registration, a certificate, and a license plate. After April 5, operating an unregistered moped will be prohibited.
According to paragraph 2 of Article 590 of the Administrative Offenses Code, driving an unregistered moped will result in a fine of 10 MCI (39,320 tenge).
