Tengrinews.kz - Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the mass production of new kamikaze attack drones to be launched as soon as possible, according to The Korean Central News Agency.
He made the corresponding statement after personally testing the drones.
According to the agency, Kim Jong Un emphasized that accelerating the serial production of these weapons is necessary to strengthen the country's military potential.
"Such objective change urgently calls for updating many parts of military theory, practice, and education," the North Korean leader said, referring to growing competition in the use of military drones around the world.
The mass production of attack drones will be a major step in strengthening the DPRK's defense capability, Kim Jong Un said, reflecting the country's efforts to keep up with global trends in drone technology amid a tense geopolitical situation.
Earlier, North Korea conducted its first ballistic missile test in 73 days in an effort to influence the run-up to the US presidential election and showcase weapons potentially relevant to the conflict in Ukraine.
