There will be no deficit of car spare parts in Kazakhstan in relation to the distributors' intention to get listed in the customs registry of intellectual property, President of Kazakhstan Car Business Association Arseniy Sidorov told Tengrinews.kz. Earlier Toyota and Lexus were included into the registrar. Henceforth the employees of the customs services will allow only the spare parts imported by official dealers and sellers who have received the permits from the authorized representatives of the car companies. "As this registry also includes the companies that are official distributors, and since Toyota is doing a very consistent job, there will be no deficit of the original spare parts in Kazakhstan, that's for sure. In any case the distributors know the demand well and will calculate their volumes properly," Sidorov said. He also explained that this will allow Kazakhstan to bar import of counterfeit spare parts that are sold under trademarks of the famous car companies. President of the Association assured that there will be no deficit of used spare parts and duplicates either. "There is no problem with duplicates. Things like Bosch ignition plugs are imported as duplicates. They are imported as Bosch, not as Toyota or BMW. Nobody goes against the free market, the duplicates are not sold under the same trade mark as the original parts. There are different quality standards for duplicates," Sidorov explained. Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Hyundai and BMW expressed their intention to get into the customs registry of intellectual property as well.
