Askar Kerimov has been appointed Akim (Mayor) of Atyrau. Earlier he worked as Deputy Akim of Atyrau Oblast, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports citing the oblast administration. Kerimov, 32, was introduced to the city administration of city Maslikhat deputies (local representative authorities) by oblast's Akim Bergei Ryskaliyev. Kerimov replaced Mereke Ismuratov who was appointed Deputy Akim of Atyrau Oblast Akim.
