Managers of Kazakhstan energy companies banned from leaving on holidays

Kazakhstan Vice Prime-Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev called heads of energy companies to abstain from leaving on holidays, Tengrinews.kz reports. “I am calling you to instruct regional Akims (Governors, managers of energy companies, and important technical employees to abstain from leaving their work places for holidays. They have to be available until the end of the winter period, especially in January,” Asset Issekeshev said. Issekeshev was appointed accountable for resolution of urgent matters in Zhanaozen. Redistribution of responsibilities was made because of Umirzak Shekeyev was appointed head of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
