South Korean state oil corporation KNOC discovered a new oil field in Kazakhstan, Novosti Energetiki reports citing Renhal agency. The reserves were discovered in north-western part of Aktyubinskfield. The reserves of discovered oil are estimated at 11 million barrels. South-Korean corporation is especting to discover another 17 to 42 million barrels of oil at the field. Aktyubinskfield is operated by ADA Oil LLP, joint Kazakhstan-Korean company. KNOC corporation owns 40 percent in the venture. In September Tengrinews.kz English reported that West Sagiz oil field was discovered in Kazakhstan. According to geophysical data, oil reserves of the field make 66 million barrels.
